My name is Mark Jones and I am a photographer based in Tapton, Chesterfield.

I have been a keen photographer for many years and am currently studying for a formal qualification with the Institute of Professional Photographers which I hope to complete in the next few months.

Apart from photography my other hobbies are travel and the outdoors, this has helped me become more versatile in the styles of photography I most enjoy. I love taking portraits of people in natural environments as opposed to the sterile white backgrounds that seems to be the current trend among studio photographers these days.

Natural backgrounds win every time for me, they are more complimentary to the subject and of course, it lowers the cost to the customer as there are less overheads for the photographer.
